All Day
Start 2021 on the right path!
Whether you like to walk, jog, roll, or run, set a goal to get outdoors and safely exercise every day. Adaptive Expeditions will coordinate sighted guides for anyone with vision impairment or blindness who wants prepare for the 2021 Cooper River Bridge Race. Race-day has been postponed until September 25, 2021, so there is plenty of time to get ready to get over that bridge!
If you would like to participate in practice walks or runs with a sighted guide, all you need to do is call, email, or text Adaptive Expeditions to set up a time. Practice walks and runs will be one-on-one, outside, and all COVID-19 best practices will be strictly followed. Volunteer guides will maintain at least 6’ distance.
For the 2021 Cooper River Bridge Race, Adaptive Expeditions will coordinate the first ever group-walk for people who have vision impairment or blindness. If you were registered through Adaptive Expeditions for the canceled 2020 race, then your registration will be transferred to the 2021 race.
Huge thanks to Coastal Community Foundation and the Cooper River Bridge Run for helping to make this program possible.
