Stroke impacts families not only individuals. Sometimes the family and friends of stroke survivors, the caregivers, feel unsupported, stressed, overwhelmed and uniformed. Do you know someone who helps care for a stroke survivor? If so, please tell them about the Stroke Caregivers Summit on Saturday June 17th from 9AM-4:30PM at Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital in West Ashley (behind Lowes).

The Summit is jointly sponsored by the MUSC Stroke Recovery Research Center and Roper Rehabilitation Hospital. We have an exciting agenda! Speakers from MUSC, Roper and HealthSouth (Charleston AND Columbia!) will provide critical information and exhibitors (including Adaptive Expeditions!) will showcase resources intended to educate, engage and empower the family and friends of stroke survivors. The Summit is FREE, but registration is required.

Two attached photos: (1) Marty Moore, stroke survivor of 32 years, and mother of Adaptive Expeditions Founder, Joe Moore, and (2) presenters and schedule for the Stroke Caregivers Summit.

Please call Michelle Woodbury at 843-792-1671 or email at WoodbuML@musc.edu to register.
