Social distancing policies necessitated by the COVID-19 Pandemic have made fitness maintenance and stress reduction activities more difficult for individuals living with disabilities related to Spinal Cord Injury. To directly address the needs of stress reduction and fitness maintenance for both our local community and our extended national network, Adaptive Expeditions invites anyone living with an SCI related disability to enjoy free interactive online sessions with a certified personal trainer or adaptive yoga instructor every week (up to 1-hour per week). You will be guided through individualized and live personal training and / or yoga sessions without needing to leave your home. These personal, interactive online sessions will focus on both fitness improvement and stress reduction. You are encouraged to invite a friend, family member or caretaker join your sessions. You will need a cell phone, tablet, or other device with FaceTime, Zoom.us, Go To Meeting, or any another interactive communication application. Facebook Live will not work as it is not interactive, but a one-way streaming of information.
Click here to sign an online waiver (anyone joining you for a session will also need to sign a waiver). After signing a waiver, email Natasha@AEOutdoors.org to schedule your first 1-hour session. A certified trainer will arrange a short interview prior to your first session.
This program was made possible with a grant from Craig H. Neilsen Foundation.
