Adaptive Expeditions is excited to again partner with Long Training Studios to host our adaptive yoga and fitness program in downtown Charleston at 145 St. Phillips Street.

Adaptive Expeditions’ yoga and fitness program is structured into one 1.5-hour class per week over 5 weeks series.  Each series will be open to anyone with a physical and / or sensory disability.

The 2nd Series of 2017 will occur from 3:00 – 4:30pm on the following five Sundays: February 5, 12 & 26 + March 5 & 12.  

The entire 5-week series is available for $40 ($8 per 1.5 hour class). Alternatively, you may pay $10 per session.  All funds will be used to purchase Tel-A-Ride tickets for those who cannot drive themselves to Adaptive Expeditions health and wellness events.

Registration is limited to 12 participants per series.  You can make the $40 donation in the last step of the registration process.

Participants are encouraged to bring along a friend or a family member to assist with some of the poses.  Assistants will not be charged, but they do need to register and indicate that they are your assistant on the registration form.  Adaptive Expeditions has  trained many volunteers to assist with the yoga program, however, we need at least 48 hours notice to coordinate a volunteer.

Certified yoga instructor and personal trainer, Natasha Stevens, will lead all classes. All classes will include one full hour of adaptive yoga, and at least 20 minutes of strength conditioning, breathing and meditation exercises, flexibility training, or seated balance exercises.  All equipment will be provided.
