$360 + ($25 for online learning portion)

Equipment:
Instructor Endorsement Candidates are encouraged to bring their own equipment.  Email if you need to borrow equipment for the course: Denoda Martin – Shawneewatersports@gmail.com

Description:
For anyone with a physical disability who is interested in becoming a paddler, the final day of this APW offers a perfect opportunity to learn from experts about how to modify equipment and techniques to paddle kayaks comfortably, safely, and with a high level of independence and performance. At the core of the ACA Adaptive Paddling Program, Adaptive Paddling Workshops (APWs) provide the information necessary to seamlessly integrate individuals with physical disabilities into outdoor recreation programs in the context of paddlesports.  ACA Certified Instructors can earn the Adaptive Paddling Endorsement.  Other paddlers who are not yet Instructors can earn an ACA Certificate of Completion.  Basic pre-existing paddling skills will be necessary to pass the course.
