Advocacy

Through removal of social, architectural and programming obstacles & barriers, Adaptive Expeditions works to improve the quality of life for people with physical and / or sensory disabilities.

Adaptive Expeditions utilizes the following advocacy techniques and strageties:

Direct advocacy:

• Initiate and support legislative proposals
• Advocate before planning boards, commissions, public hearings and other public forums
• Provide written comments during administrative rulemaking processes
• Seek legal remedy only after political and administrative processes have been exhausted

Indirect advocacy:

• Identify and bring public awareness to key issues through media campaigns
• Coordinate and support other organizations' grassroots campaigns
