The 2019 ACA IT Conference will be held in Richmond, VA on October 4-6, 2019. Adaptive Expedition will host a pre conference 2.5-day Adaptive Paddling Workshop (APW) on October 1-3 at the Virginia Commonwealth University’s Rice River Center. The Rice River Center is a 30 Minute Drive from Downtown Richmond.
The ACA APW can count one time as an Instructor Update.
The ACA APW is designed for instructors, outfitters, recreation program managers, trip leaders, rehabilitation specialists and those who want to include people with physical disabilities in paddlesport programs, Adaptive Paddling Workshops teach instructors how to compensate for a paddler’s loss of function due to physical disability and how to adapt equipment and instruction, focusing on the paddler’s ability. Adaptive Paddling Workshops include hands-on learning in both a classroom and in calm, protected waters.
Be a current certified ACA Paddling Instructor at L-1 or above

Wednesday, October 2nd from 9:00AM – 5:00 PM
Thursday, October 3rd from 9:00AM – 5:00 PM
The cost of course enrollment includes on-site shared lodging in the Inger Rice Lodge. Each room has 4 bunks, the course enrollment fee includes one bunk. $395 for Instructor Endorsement Candidates. Course fee includes all course equipment and materials. Please register through the link below.
