Description:
At the core of the ACA Adaptive Paddling Program, Adaptive Paddling Workshops (APWs) provide the information necessary to seamlessly integrate individuals with physical disabilities into outdoor recreation programs in the context of paddlesports.  ACA Certified Instructors can earn the Adaptive Paddling Endorsement.  ACA Instructors can also receive an Update for Instructor Certification Maintenance.  This course is also open to non-Instructors, who can earn an ACA Certificate of Completion.  However, basic pre-existing rafting skills will be necessary to pass the course.

For oar-rig rafters with physical disabilities resulting from Spinal Cord Injury (and those interested in becoming rafters), the final day of this APW offers a perfect opportunity to learn from experts about how to modify equipment and the techniques to row oar-rig rafts comfortably, safely, and with a high level of independence and performance.  To participate for free during the final day of this APW please call Joe Moore at Adaptive Expeditions (843.637.7269), email Joe@AdaptiveExpeditions.org.
