AE volunteers must register once through the Volunteer Sign Up form.
AE Surf Team 2017 pool training sessions are designed to refine volunteer procedures, skills, and techniques, including: lifejacket use, basic water safety, transfers from everyday wheelchair to beach wheelchair, transfers from beach wheelchairs to surf boards, identify and refine outfitting needed to prevent skin breakdown, balancing on the boards, paddling to catch waves. We’ll just be having fun while figuring out what works well for each of us.
