Adaptive Expeditions is excited to again offer adaptive yoga and fitness throughout the winter months.  We have partnered with Adaptive Expeditions’ newest sponsor, Long Training Studios, to host this program in downtown Charleston at 145 St. Phillips Street.

The series will be open to everyone with a physical and / or sensory disability.

Adaptive Expeditions’ yoga and fitness program will be organized into several 5-week series.  Each series will consist of one 1.5-hour class per week over 5 weeks.

Certified yoga instructor and personal trainer, Natasha Stevens, will lead all classes. All classes will include one full hour of adaptive yoga, followed by at least 20 minutes of strength conditioning, breathing and meditation exercises, flexibility training, or seated balance exercises.  All equipment will be provided.

The first series will occur on Sunday evenings from 4:30pm – 6:00pm on the following dates: November 20 & 27 (Thanksgiving is November 24) + December 4, 11, & 18.

A $40 donation is requested for this 5-week series (only $8 per 1.5 hour class).  All funds will be used to purchase Tel-A-Ride tickets for those who cannot drive themselves to Adaptive Expeditions health and wellness events.

Participants are encouraged to bring along a friend or a family member to assist with some of the poses.   Assistants / workout partners will not be charged, but they do need to register and indicate that they are a workout partner on the registration form.
